CNC Machinist / Setup Person - Job Description

A Chicago based precision machine shop is seeking a CNC Machinist / Setup person to join our team in Chicago, IL.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming / setting up CNC turning machines. Candidate will be responsible for reviewing current set-ups for process improvements. The candidate will also be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathe machines. This would include installing tooling, changing jaws, loading raw material, setting fixtures, getting first piece approval, and adjusting controls to ensure quality production.

Strong communication skills required and must be hands-on.
