Account Manager - Job Description

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • New Customer, Part, and Order and Entry into our ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system (we use GlobalShop).
  • Entry of ECC (Engineering Change Order) information for all new products and part revisions into our ERP system
  • Assist with invoicing, delivery notifications, RMA, RFQ and quote processes, as these are all key interactions with prospects and clients
  • Attend all Production Meetings to answer internal questions about orders and obtain any updates that need to be communicated back to the client.
  • Proactive communication (email and phone) with clients and our internal team about schedules, questions, issues, annual volumes, release quantities, packing and shipping requirements and additional order and account information.
  • Clear documentation of needs, issues, and resolution in orders, dashboards, ERP and CRM for future reference
  • Compiles reports and work instructions to track, monitor and improve our processes and performance.
  • Ensure client files, server files, and all documentation for client orders, parts and communication are kept organized and up to date.
  • Entering new prospects and customers into ERP
  • Entering new RFQ's, ensure all files are saved/printed to correct locations and communicated to quoting team
  • Following up on quotes, recording results in ERP & CRM
  • Establish new business relationships to increase sales at a profitable margin
  • Develop and evaluate business ideas according to the Company criteria.
  • Implement effective key account management ensuring flawless flow of communication.

Requirements

  • Ability to tactfully probe for clarification and understanding to assess client/ partner needs
  • Ability to clearly and quickly communicate situation details verbally and in writing between internal teams and clients and outside partners.
  • Very comfortable with technology as you will spend a considerable part of your day using email, in and out of a complex ERP system, reviewing client requirements, working with marketing tools, and working in a variety of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong collaboration skills to solve problems with internal teams to find solutions that meet both the customer and Pioneer requirements.
  • Ability to multitask effectively to stay on top of project and daily activities and respond in a timely manner and meet expected deadlines
  • Remain calm and flexible to handle changing requirements and situations internally and externally.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to document carefully to ensure consistency in all client and partner interactions.
  • Strong knowledge of our core capabilities and services to be able to answer general questions from customers and partners quickly.
  • Comfortable with tracking and analysis of data to look for opportunities for improvement.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to walk, stand, sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel parts. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, and crouch.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Ear protection may be required for certain processes. Closed-toed shoes and eye protection are required for all activity on the shop floor.
