Quality Assurance Manager - Job Description
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire Quality Management System throughout the organization and guarantees our quality promise gets delivered to our customers EVERY time. This position oversees all areas of the QMS to maintain ISO 9001-2015, meet the demands of our customers, meet all regulatory requirements, and establish all procedures for maintaining FORD TOOL & MACHINING quality standards and reliability. This position has direct communication with our suppliers and customers and will be the main point of contact for all audit activities, NCR investigation and resolution with additional oversight of the quality training program and enforcement of quality procedure standards through the manufacturing process. Responsibilities: - Administers our Quality Management System (QMS)
- Develop and manage quality systems by performing internal and external audits to measure and improve on processes that enable FTM to meet or exceed customer requirements in compliance with ISO standards.
- Trains personnel to ensure an understanding and adherence to QMS
- Following up on and closing pending preventative and corrective action requests.
- Create and implement inspection criteria and procedures.
- Supervises and directs workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products, including shipping and receiving.
- Serves at the company representative for ISO 9001 program. This includes performing audits, maintaining QC manual, writing work instructions, and operating procedures. Addressing and resolving nonconformities from previous audits
- Overseas and maintains a calibration system.
- Monitors and reports relevant Quality Metrics and KPI's on a monthly and annual basis.
Experience Required: Quality professional with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a Quality Manager role with direct reports and extensive knowledge and experience in job shop environments. - ISO 9001 background required to oversee all aspects of the quality system.
- Demonstrated organizational, planning, communication, and management development skills.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to focus on overall business results in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to develop effective and credible working relationships, work effectively as part of a team, in addition to having good interpersonal communication skills with a direct approach.
- Strong attention to detail, organized approach

- Bachelor's Degree required (preferably engineering or manufacturing operations focus).
