INSIDE SALES & CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

Position Summary
This non-exempt position provides support to customers, Regional Sales Managers, Inside Sales and other internal teams to grow existing customers, add new customers and assess and increase customer satisfaction while striving to meet or exceed monthly sales goals.


Select Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Actively selling products and services 75% of the time.

2. Answers incoming calls and internet inquiries from various sources, including customers, outside sales, service and dealers and uses the opportunity to upsell and cross-sell.

3. Provides product, service, or technical information by answering questions; sending manuals, drawings and pictures; checking product availability; helping to determine customer needs; verifying part numbers and pricing.

4. Proactively interfaces with customers to assess level of satisfaction with KNI products / services

5. Prepares and follows up on open orders, delayed orders, and quotes. Assists customers with delivery information, shipment tracking, confirmations, investigating customer inquiries regarding order status and/or complaints.

6. Provides administrative back up entering/approving new customer accounts, generates work orders in ERP system and credit approval for new sales orders.


Education, Experience & Skills:

High School diploma required; college degree preferred.

Solid communication skills including verbal, written and listening.
High degree of interpersonal skills to effectively work in a team environment.
Minimum 3 years related sales/customer service experience desired.
Mechanical aptitude desired but not required
Ability to tactfully handle issues arising from customer conflict.
Demonstrated attention to detail, organizational skills and work accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, ERP and alike.

The base compensation range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00 per hour and is dependent upon the skills and level / amount of relevant experience.
