CNC Machinist - Job Description

Fox Tool & Mfg. is hiring a full-time CNC Lathe Machinist for our turning department, which runs 2–10 axis turning centers.

We're an AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 certified precision machining company in Woodstock, Illinois, producing components and assemblies for the commercial, defense, aerospace, automation, pharmaceutical, and electromechanical industries. Our team works in a clean, climate-controlled facility with state-of-the-art equipment, and we take pride in delivering world-class quality and service to our customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 years of CNC machining experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be a U.S. person (per ITAR requirements for defense-related work)
• Strong desire to keep building your skills
• CNC lathe setup experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings
• Set up and operate CNC lathes
• Use precision gauges and measuring equipment
• Inspect machined parts and record results
• Set tool and work offsets
• Keep your work area clean and organized
• Follow all safety requirements
