Executive Assistant - Job Description


Bronson and Bratton is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Executive Assistant with strong payroll administration experience to support the CFO/Controller and contribute to the broader success of the organization.

You'll work closely with executives, employees, and external vendors, playing a key role in maintaining smooth internal operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who thrives in a dual-role position - combining executive-level support with hands-on payroll processing and accounting tasks. You'll be a key player in ensuring the smooth delivery of payroll.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Administration 

  • Process weekly and semi-monthly payrolls for B&B and Cirrus with precision and timeliness.

  • Manage payroll-related deductions and contributions (HSA, FSA).

  • Prepare and track 401(k) contributions and ensure accurate documentation.

  • Administer final pay, PTO payout, and termination paperwork.

  • Maintain and update benefit portals, ensuring employee data is accurate and current.

  • Submit and reconcile payroll-related reports for audits and internal review.

Executive Support

  • Provide high-level administrative support to the CFO/Controller.

  • Manage calendars, coordinate company-wide meetings, and support wellness initiatives.

  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and presentations, either independently or from notes.

  • Maintain confidential files and sensitive employee/payroll records.

  • Handle incoming communication and ensure prompt follow-up on internal inquiries.

Accounting & Operations

  • Reconcile corporate cash logs and monthly bank statements.

  • Record journal entries, prepaids, and cash receipts.

  • Assist with petty cash management and annual document retention.

  • Provide backup support for accounts receivable.

Human Resources Support

  • Assist with HR compliance reporting (EEO-1, OSHA, VETS-4212).

  • Prepare documentation for short-term disability and COBRA.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of payroll and administrative experience, ideally supporting C-level executives.

  • Paycor experience a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for payroll-related tracking.

  • Solid understanding of payroll systems, deductions, benefits administration, and compliance.

  • Exceptional time management, organization, and problem-solving skills.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy - especially in handling confidential payroll data.

  • Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Work Environment

  • Office-based role; must be able to manage priorities independently.

  • Fast-paced and deadline-driven environment requiring discretion and professionalism.

  • Ability to sit and work at a desk for extended periods.
