Outside Sales Rep - Job Description

Our team takes pride in providing our customers with a competitive edge within their market by continually delivering the highest quality components and services on time. Pioneer Service delivers quick turnaround times on low and high volume run orders. We serve a vast number of industries like aerospace, medical, automotive, and defense.

Primary Function:

Outside Sales Representative main function is establishing new paths and expanding our customers. The primary mission will be to identify, engage, and secure new business opportunities, introducing potential customers to our specialized Swiss machining and centerless grinding services.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Plan sales activity for new business opportunities.
  • Contact prospective customers, effectively communicating capabilities in Swiss machining and centerless grinding to establish new relationships.
  • Arrange presentations for the current and prospective customers.
  • Schedule calls, prepare itineraries and contact customers to discuss requirements, specification, problems, and any outstanding issues.
  • Maintain daily records of activities, such as call reports and customer record forms.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to generate leads and build a robust pipeline of potential business.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop and implement targeted strategies for reaching potential customers in new markets.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in sales, with a strong focus on new business development within precision machining
  • Exceptional ability to identify and pursue new sales leads with a tenacious and results-driven approach.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage and persuade new customers.
  • Strong work ethic, with the organizational skills to manage a broad territory and a diverse set of potential customers.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to meet potential customers and represent the company at various industry events.
