POSITION SUMMARY: Rieke Interiors is seeking a Junior Interior Designer to join our dynamic team of professionals. The ideal candidate should be a vibrant designer with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in commercial interior design. We are looking for a person with a passion for interior design and the willingness to learn and grow within the industry. The Junior Designer will be responsible for collaboration with the design lead on projects. You will work closely with senior designers, project managers, and manufacturers contributing to the development of the project from initiation to completion. On site/In office position- not accepting remote workers.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Communication: Excellent communication and willingness to take direction from team leads.
  2. Project Management: Support multiple projects at a time by keeping track of construction schedules, product tracking and supporting lead designer during on site visits.
  3. Collaborative Teamwork: Collaborate with the internal Rieke teams, lead designer, architects, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
  4. Material and Product Selections: Research and select appropriate materials, finishes, and furnishings that meet the project's design and functional requirements.
  5. Presentations and Quoting: Pull client presentations together showing the design intent and product selections. Reach out to vendors for quotes on products and materials specified in the project and create client quotes.
  6. Continued Education: Keep abreast of industry trends, innovations, and emerging technologies to bring fresh ideas and design solutions to projects

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates required; bachelor's degree preferred in interior design at an accredited university
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in commercial interior design preferred
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate design ideas, collaborate with team members, and engage with clients and suppliers.
  • Strong organization skills
