The Position:
We are seeking a Welder for 1st shift to join our Acme team. Typical 1st shift hours are Monday through Friday 6am-4:30pm. In this position you will be performing a variety of welding and weld finishing operations to manufacture products to customer drawing, specifications or other forms of instruction. Must be available for overtime including weekends and during peak production times. This position offers a hire-on-bonus.
Job Duties:
-Interpretation of mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbols.
-Knowledge of wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys, aluminum, and some exotic materials.
-Knowledge of MIG and TIG welding.
-Conventional and precision measuring instruments.
-Process inspection, certification and documentation.
-Welding equipment maintenance.
-Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools.
-Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
The Right Person/What we need from you:
-Five years of experience or equivalent in various metal forms of welding.
-Previous manufacturing or CNC environment experience is a plus.
-Requires a high school diploma/GED or equivalent.
-Ability to read and write English is a plus.
