2nd SHIFT MILLING MACHINISTS - Job Description


Experienced Milling Machinists Wanted for 2nd shift....

2nd shift receives a 10% shift differential (in addition to hourly rate).

We are a full-service manufacturing partner to leading OEMs and we serve areas in the aerospace and defense, power generation, mining, transportation, and a wide range of other sectors.

The position:

We are seeking 2nd shift experienced CNC Milling Machinists to operate different CNC milling machines in our shop utilizing FANUC operating systems. You will be operating machines for valuable castings/forgings to manufacture them into quality parts for customers. Typical 2nd shift hours are 4:20pm-2:50am Monday - Friday. Must be available for overtime including weekends and during peak production times. This position offers a hire-on-bonus!


Job duties:

-Follow written instructions and read and apply blueprint specifications.

-Performs a complex series of progressive machining operations on a diversified line of work to close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications.

-Able to perform simple set-ups of many jobs. May operate more than one machine.

-Checks parts for conformance to specifications.

-Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean, orderly work area.

-Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.


The Right Person/What we need from you:

-Preferred five or more years of combined formal training and experience or equivalent.

-Broad knowledge of machining techniques and familiarity with CNC machine tool operating procedures.

-Ability to apply recognized tooling and procedures where tolerances are close

-Blueprint reading ability

-Requires a high school diploma/GED or equivalent

-Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times.

-Should be able to read and write English. Basic computer skills a plus.
