CNC Skilled Machinist-2nd Shift - Job Description

Job Summary:

Applies basic knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, engineering drawings, material properties, layout, and machining procedures to set-up and operate CNC machine tools accurately, safely and efficiently.

Shift:

This position is for 2nd shift. 4:00 pm - 12:15 am (Mon - Thu) and 3:00pm - 9:15 (Fri)

This position will initially work 1st shift until trained in our procedures.

Pay:

$25 - $35 an hour

Duties:

• Set Up and operates CNC Mazak mills and/or lathes
• Inspect and verify conformance to specifications

Requirements:

• 2 to 3 years' experience as a CNC Mill and/or lathe Machine Operator
• Experience with Mazak machines preferred
• Familiar and able to read blueprints and use measuring instruments
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Be able to stand for 8 hours a day
• Operate multiple machines when needed
• Follow all safety and work rules and practices
• Strong work ethic and highly motivated
• Meticulous attention to detail and well organized
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Independent and willing to take initiative
• Able to work in a fast-paced constantly-changing environment with tight deadlines and occasional long hours
