GAGE TECHNICIAN - Job Description

Large Northbrook based automotive manufacturer specializing in CNC and multi-spindle precision machining is seeking a Gage Technician. 

We are seeking an experienced candidate proficient with:

• Ensuring all gages and test equipment are calibrated against standards of NIST
• Identifying measurement system reliability, evaluating results and reporting findings
• Maintaining organized work area, gage records and documenting gages being checked in/out
• Vendor coordination of returns and repairs, properly disposing/quarantining substandard gages
• Recording, updating and documenting quality data
• Determining production disposition through analysis, data interpretation and customer requirements
• Following and enforcing quality assurance policies and procedures; reporting needed changes
• Preparing PPAP, setup and start-up, in-process and final audit production inspection
• Contributing to team, company and QS goals by initiating continuous improvement, accomplishing related results as required and working effectively with other employees and departments
• Strong communication and team building skills a must!
